Couch in London?!

Hey all! I'm coming to London for ten days, from May 16-26, and I need a place to stay, if only for a fraction of that time. Originally, I'd planned to stay with Ruth (RuthIsElvis), but the combination of my serious cat allergy and her cats make the situation far less than ideal. Do any of you have (catless!) friends in London who'd be willing to lend me a couch or an air mattress for a few nights?

I should note-- if you have a couch elsewhere in the UK that I could access easily from London (I know there are a few of you out there!!), I'm looking to travel around a bit while I'm there too. Show me how cool your city is!! I'll cook/bake for you and I'm a lot of fun!!

You're welcome in Oxford Lindsey. We have two 24 hour bus services to London (1.5 hours to the centre), lots of history and roller derby on the 19th. Bear in mind that I leave for the States on the 24th.

York is really easy access to London but I don't have a couch to offer at the moment (literally me and boyf living in one room.)
There is a direct train 2hours from London Kings Cross to York (not always cheapest) & there is a hostel up here. I'd be more than happy to show you round though if I've got the day off. York is seriously beautiful.
