Yeah, I actually have a decent knowledge and experience with car repair, so I appreciate your concern but I have done all of my maintenance work on my mom's and my cars since I was 15. My cousins are mechanics (they are too busy with their jobs and school to help out) and said I was welcome to any of the tools they have at their dad's place.
But again, unless a person is totally confident and has experience, you should never "DIY" your vehicle and always leave it in the hands of a professional. I would encourage that to everyone. I just wanted to know if there were any grease monkeys out there with the experience.
Yeah I planned on buying the vehicle's repair guide tomorrow as well as mirrors for my blindside, 4 way lug nut remover and a floor jack. I'll ask the fellas what they think. One of our neighbors highly recommended NOT getting side steps as he says this shortens the vehicle and the can easily become damaged and damage other things. Anybody else have an opinion on this? I'll take any feedback.
