Moisturize! I used to not care but now that I'm into my twenties...I realized that I want to maintain wrinkle-free skin...Moisturize and use sunscreen! Not just on your face! My client yesterday (who is an RN) told me that over time you can tell a woman's age by her hands and neck...although her face looks youthful from moisturizing all her life. You have to consider other elements too. I have a face like an oilslick, but if I keep smoking all the oil in the world won't keep the crows feet and smile lines away...smoking keeps your pores from breathing and absorbing oxygen. Think about it like this: you know how all species of frogs are becoming endangered because they are eco-indicators (their skin is very porous and absorbs all the chemicals we pollute our environment with), well our skin is porous too! Not to the extent as frogs, but you get the picture! Think about what you are clogging your pores with! Honestly, I wish someone would have given me this advice muuuuch sooner! Be good to your skin :)

I feel the need to rave about something I tried - I bought a "night care face oil" a month ago. it cost a whopping 2 euros at a grocery discounter, and I've been using it every night and my skin looks wonderful. I still do all the other stuff I always did, take great care of my eyes in particular and use sunscreen, but this oil has worked wonders. my skin is completely clear and looks and feels more youthful.

all I know about this stuff is that is has juniper berry oil, mint oil and something else in it and is completely natural. I HIGHLY recommend it.

i'm a big fan of eucerin spf 30 moisturizer. oil free, won't clog your pores, approved by the skin cancer society, blah, blah, blah. eucerin products are really good for dry skin.

You think it works for oily/sensitive skin too? Because that moisturizer just sounds awesome.

I've only been using cleanser and moisturizer since some months ago and my skin is so much better (Had the honor of being born with oily/sensitive skin  ). I would like to try a toner too and see how it works. I'm a bit confused though, should toner have alcohol in it or not? All the toners I've been looking through in the drugstore had Alcohol denat. in it. And I've heard that alcohol is bad for your skin. Or is it only pure alcohol?
Btw, you apply the toner, let it dry and then apply moisturizer, right? I've seen people spray toner and applying moisturizer right away, so I don't know what is the best way.
I've tried rosewater as a toner one time but my skin turned red and itchy for a while (5 mins). This shouldn't happen with any toner, right?

And then I've thinking using a sugar/lemon/wtv face scrub, since a lot of people have recommended it because they say its good for oily skin. Is it alright for my sensitive skin also?

Thanks.

I use Philosophy's Purity made simple and Hope in a jar daily and I love them both. The purity is a 3 in 1 so I can skip on toner, and the hope in a jar is the best moisturizer I have ever used.

I started moisterizing my face with coconut oil and it's amazing. It's really helping to clear my skin up. I use it after washing my face with Dessert Essence Thouroughly Clean Face Wash.
But I have read some places that it can either help out with acne and dryness or cause cysts in your acne sooo I don't know if I would recommend it unless you do some test spots.

I stopped washing my face entirely, just rinsing in the shower and it stopped me from breaking out almost entirely. I get small pimples on my chin and on my temples, for the most part. If anyone has tips or skin like mine, it'd be appreciated! I think I have rosacea (sp?) rather than acne... If I wash my face even with the most mild face wash, I get a ton more pimples in those areas.

I used to have MAJOR skin problems. I even was on medication from my dermatologist for a while. I also had prescribed creams and had done and tried EVERYTHING over the counter, and Proactive.
Nothing worked.
Then I got on birth control and stopped wearing make up, my skin cleared up amazingly.
I moisturize because other wise my skin gets dry, and I only break out around when I get my period, not that bad.
I don't have to use any special skin care products besides moisturizer now, I swear BC saved my skin!

This might sound a tad crazy, but all I've been doing lately is exfoliating every couple days with a generic-brand apricot scrub, washing with baby shampoo (it's the only thing I've found that doesn't irritate my eyes but still gets mascara off), swiping with witch hazel all over my face (avoiding eyes, obvs.) and using neosporin over blemishes/spots/dry bits. I tried the neosporin with pain relief, but the original is better.

how do you do that? curved spit or spit in your hand and rub it in? or handstand and drool all over yourself?
