you know when the watch gears get thrown off the balcony? cuz nuclear technology is the way of the future and all that stuff? it has the yellow in the background and silhouette of the gears. i had a picture but my computer crashed. yeah im gettin the gears behind my ears, its gonna be the first tattoo my friend does cuz its easy and if it looks like shit, its only behind my ear.

and yeah its all worked out. he's actually moving in with me. today.

so this isn't exactly pending because i just thought of it, but i think i've decided i want to get an old school-style tattoo. i've been indifferent about them for a while, but recently have gotten really really into the style. came up with an idea earlier tonight that i'd REALLY like to get done sometime before the end of summer. i'd like to get it done at Smith Street in Brooklyn, by either Dan Santoro or Eli Quinters, if at all possible.

i'm thinking of getting the classic ship, but with tattered sails, and a big-ass treasure chest in the hull. i want a banner going across the top and bottom, with a hummingbird carrying the top part of the banner and a butterfly carrying the bottom part, and i want the banner to say "nothing ventured, nothing gained." thoughts? i wish i could draw.. the image in my head looks pretty sick.

Next tattoo is a cutesy rotten apple. Since I'm the "rotten apple" of the family. Than I want to start brainstorming some ideas for the other side of my ribs. Right now I have "born to lose, destined to fail" in script down my whole right torso. I want to get something on the other side now.

Gonna get a tattoo as graduation celebration next week(whether i actually graduate or not haha) But its gonna be either on my wrist or on the my forearm by the inside of my elbow. Gonna either be:

I love it. I would get swallows holding the banner, but then again I'm uber traditional. I say DO IT!!!

^^ thanks! i'm not a huge fan of swallows, but i love the symbolism behind hummingbirds and butterflies and i think they'd both look LOVELY oldschool-style. butterflies do, but i've never seen a hummingbird done that way. i'm interested to see what the guys at Smith Street would do with it.
