cheap wedding favor ideas?

I'm getting married on August 7th & my fiance' and I have no idea what cool, fun, punky (yet cheap) wedding favors to give to people on their way out? Any ideas? I really need help with this one!

whats your "theme" and colors or any direction you are leaning toward?
a freind of mine did bookmarks. a picture of them with a message of how they felt about friends and family as a whole. we handed out a little box of mints and chocolates with our names and wedding date.

The wedding I was at a few months back, the bridesmaids made homemade turtles in a little dollar store box with ribbon, and my boyfriend did fancy script name tags for each guest to attach to the box.

So maybe make some kind of not-too-perishable treat and wrap them somehow? You don't necessarily need boxes, you could wrap them in paper/plastic/fabric. whatever. but everyone likes treats right? and you could get your friends to help, have a girls night, get some wine and put them together?
