aaaaah. i love you all.

i am 14, i work on cars, i have for the last 2 years.

i am more body work and suspension. i work for my dad. Bio Kustumz. We get rock stars and stuff coming to us and they are impressed to see, fisrt off, a girl working on their car, and second, a teenage girl.

it is funny to see peoples reactions to a female mechanic.

my whole family is into the hot rod scene, so we have a lot of friends that are chicks that are standing there in high heels and polka dot dresses that can fix a car better than half the guys in town.

it is really neat to see a girl working in a shop full of dudes, and if you are into perversion, its even more fun. the guys flirting and stuff is hillarious. but beware it is intimidating to guys to date a betty that knows how to fix their car better than they can.

I actually want to be a mechanic, but I don't know much about cars but I'm definitely egar to learn.

My boyfriend ( who is amazing at fixing cars) is teaching me how to fix cars..we eventually plan on rebuilding a car or truck together. I never thought much about being a mechanic but after my boyfriend enlisted my help one day while working on my car, I found I had a real knack for this shit! I think my man fell in love that day...my acryllic nails were covered in grease..haha.
I think a lady mechanic would ROCK, although I've NEVER seen one, at least not one working in a shop.

SERIOUSLY.

I took auto classes in high school for two and a half years. I was the only girl in advanced auto out of a class of 28, and I LOVED IT. In begining auto they gave me shit, and would joke around even when i was in advanced auto about " You should get yourself into the kitchen and make me a sandwhich. But it's all in jest. As long as you can deal with talking a little shit and the occaisional abrasive male, it's all good and well worth it. It's great knowing about cars. You can save yourself a lot of money working on them yourself.

I remember one day I had gone to get tools and was on my way back when one of the guy's dads came in and was looking for the teacher. I asked him if I could help him find something, I told him where the teacher was and he then asks me
" So you work in the tool room?"(seeing the ratchet in my hand)
and I was like " No, I was about to replace the rear axle u-joints in that car"

and he was floored. HAHAHA. made my day.

I read about a blind guy a while back who could diagnose most car issues just by the way the vehicle sounded.

Smitty (our transmission mechanic) is blind and diagnose transmissions by touch, he is amazing!!! he has been the most knowledgable mechanic ive ever met!!!
