Ten Random Things To Always Carry In Your Purse.

first, i gotta ask: what do you all use the safety pins for? so many of you carry them and i can't think of one reason why i would need them, so i'm curious about the reasons/circumstances for why you all carry them?

anyways...i usually carry:

1) wallet [never has any money in it though ]
2) checkbook
3) pen
4) work badge
5) cigs & lighter
6) cell phone
7) various chapsticks/lip balms/lip glosses [i usually have at least 5 at all times]
8] a few random CDs that change every few days or so
9) makeup bag with liquid and pencil eyeliner, foundation & mascara. and i also have in it: a mirror, a few qtips, small nail clippers & nail file, travel toothbrush and toothpaste, a few tissues, small comb, a few bandaids & condoms.
10) pill case w/ aleve & midol
11) a few pads & liners
12) hand lotion
13) pepper spray
14) plastic knife, fork & spoon [in case i forget to pack them in my lunch, then i always have an extra one]
15) hair scarf
16) small lint roller

it's funny that i carry so many things, or that i even carry a purse at all because i was always one of those girls who always carried minimal stuff and just put it all in my pockets. i didn't even start carrying a purse until i was about 21/22.

I try not to carry a bag at gigs, but if it's any other time I'll have:

1. Phone
2. MP3 player
3. Lip balm.
4. Gum.
5. Hair grips.
6. Purse/ Money
7. Spare batteries for MP3 Player.

That's pretty much it. I keep it uncluttered cos I change bags a lot, and it needs to be easily moveable.

I just carry my wallet, my phone, my keys and my mp3 player in my jacket. That's it, usually. Sometimes also mascara & makeup.

I don't usually use a purse. I normally just put money in my pocket and chapstick in another pocket. But when I do carry a purse, I have:

And when I carry my backpack, I have all of the above, plus
my make up bag with the day's eyeshadow/blush, lipstick/chapstick, bobby pins, small travel size perfume, mirror, eyeliner of the day, qtips, nail clippers, tissues, comb, and a pill case with advil/midol/tums. Lol.

I have quite the arsenal in my purse as well. My little sister tells me I'm a punk rock soccer mom, without the kids or the mini-van.

Right now I have:

-My wallet, containing my cash, cards, license, and coupons

-mini bottles of: hair spray, deodorant, lotion, and perfume

-my make-up bag, containing like 3 different black pencil liners, liquid liner, about 5 lip glosses, eye shadow, brow pencil, 2 different red lip liners, red lipstick, safety pins, bobby pins, a comb, band-aids, brush-ups, and dental floss.

-about 7 pens

-my bottle opener, for work

-a package of wet ones wipes (also antibacterial)

Wow. I do manage to carry a lot of shit with me.

I have this big stupid Warehouse bag which I practically keep everything in. I'm sure it's Mary Poppins' Carpet bag masquerading as this black thing.

I have about 3 i rotate between and in each of them i have a stash of the typical: Tampons, Bobby Pins, rubber hair tie, small lotion, band aids, antibacteria gel, chapstick, $5 cash (just in case), pen & ear plugs.
But i still have to grab my Credit Card, ID, Inhaler,& phone when i go between them.

The only odd thing i carry around is an envelope to put all my receipts in. I'm a gal who likes to budget and save money so i always carry it until the end of the month, then a new envelope gets put into roation, and the old ones get analyzed and put into the Bigger envelope for the year.

That is SUCH a good idea, I need to start doing this!
