The idea of having pumpkin as a sweet/breakfasty thing is kind of off-putting. Then again, we don't really "do" pumpkin pie here.

^Mine was not sweet at all. Just spicy. I'd have to add much more than 2tbsp of honey to make it sweet, since the puree was not sweetened or spiced at all.

okay so i just did this.

probably 1/2c pumpkin puree
1/2c cooked multigrain cereal (i get mine at trader joe's)
1-2tbsp ground flax
1/2c soy milk
3/4c apple juice (simply apple is the bomb)
chunk of grated apple (i used about half of a medium Mutsu)
dark brown sugar
couple splashes of vanilla
exorbitant amounts of pre-mixed pumpkin pie spice and cinnamon

it came out SUPER THICK so instead of watering it down, i poured it in a bowl and now i'm eating it with some raw buckwheat cardamom granola i made ages ago. YUUUUUMMM FALLL

is migas another word for chilaquiles!!? because this is exactly how my family, even the mexican side makes our chilaquiles.

Way late in answering this, but yes. I have heard it called both. I saw "Migas" on a menu and thought it was like the proper name. LOL

I really like chickpeas for breakfast. I just kind of crisp them up in a pan with a bit of olive oil and some spices. Mixed in with hashbrowns? Delicious. Mixed into scrambled eggs with some mushrooms? Also delicious. Eating a handful on their own and having a greek yogurt with fruit in it with? Filling breakfast that'll keep you full until lunch that also happens to be delicious.

My favorite hangover breakfast is corned beef breakfast burritos:
- Saute some peppers, onions, and mushrooms with some garlic in olive oil
- Open can of corned beef hash and crisp it up in a skillet
- Put those in a tortilla with some cheese and hot sauce
- Eat and feel better soon!

Sweet potato hash browns are a delicious alternative to regular hash browns. Yummy.
