South PRD Meet-up in Dollywood

So I've never been to Dollywood and absolutely love Dolly Parton so I want to plan a trip to Pigeon Forge,TN and that is where Dollywood is. Would anyone else be down for a meetup between the last weekend in August or the first or second weekend in September?

I live in Greensboro NC btw which is only a 3 hour drive to Pigeon Forge. I know several members live in TN or surrounding states. C'MON DO IT YOU KNOW YOU WANT TO!

I'd be down for the last weeked in August, only time I can do it. I'd have to see if Ashley would want to go or something. It's a 10 hour drive for me! :shock:

It's just a couple of hours away for me, but it depends on what weekend it is whether I can go or not. I would love to go, but I'm gonna be poppin' out a baby in mid august sometime, so I prob can't go if it's the last weekend in August, I guess it just depends on when he is born and how I feel.

How much is it to get into Dollywood?

I looked it up today and it was $57/ ticket.

Well it seems kind of half and half as to when people can go. I know Zanna and a few others couldn't do it till like the second weekend in September but it honestly doesn't matter much to me. I can definitely have the money for it by August. My thing is, I don't want it to be hot as balls, because I hate the heat and I know i'll be bitchy. Thats why I was thinking September.

Yeah September would be best for us too, esp. if we have a tiny baby! But, we may get a sitter. Either way, later is better for us because I'm sure I will feel way better.

Oh man, this is tempting. I mean, it's quite a drive from SW Mo, but I bet I could have the money within the time frame discussed. I'll keep checking this thread!

P.S. If you buy a one day pass after 3pm you get a free ticket for the next day. So basically you get an hour or two in, and then can go as long as you want again the next day. I'm totally going to do this. Also my boyfriend told me there is a cabin in gatlinburg that has a heart shaped tub. COUNT ME IN!
