I've also decided what was the best show I saw in 2011, and it's a tie between the weakerthans and elton john. I will tell my grandchildren about elton john.

Elton John is literally the love of my life. First musician I ever liked, age 5, and I still adore him and rock out to Goodbye Yellow Brick Road on a regular basis. I saw him in 2011 as well!! It was awesome.

he was absolutely and utterly fantastic! And I loved how everyone, including the punks and my mother, was hilariously jealous of us for going to the show.

RANCID were fantastic, too! I kept telling m boyfriend how this reminds me of when I was 17, and how awesome everything was when I was 17. Also, it was kind of like a family reunion there, EVERYBODY was there. and got smashed. cause we*'re not 17 anymore.

I saw Rancid as well, on Saturday. They're my favourite band but it was my first time, and I went on stage to sing on red hot moon! So stoked!

It was at a festival, the Toy Dolls played before them. I never heard them before, but I think they're so good!
And then the Bloody Beetroots

on Friday I saw Suicidal Tendencies, I like them but the security staff were jerks. Then I saw Ministry but didnt really like, then New Model Army which was very boring

Just saw Off! and the Refused a few weeks ago. Best show i've seen in years. If you get the chance I really suggest you go to see them. Either band. Also saw the Hives recently- another great show. Saw the Arctic Monkeys and Black Keys. Not quite as good, but the Arctic Monkeys seemed to like my wife and I.... Saw Torche- they were a lot of fun. and I saw Die Antwoord, and that was fun, too. But really either see Off! or the Refused, next chance you get.

Die Antwoord last night. i loooooove them so much! Ninja is a $EXY BEAST and Yo-Landi is my super huge grrl crush. Janes Addiction picked them up to be their openers on tour and i CANNOT wait for that.

Went to the knitting factory in brooklyn and saw mother fuckin' JELLO BIAFRA!!!!!!!!! Totally did some dead kennedys songs along with his new shit and it was amazing... for being over 50 that man is still as active as ever!!!!!
