My boyfriend uses American Greaser 90wt or Murrays (depends on how hot it is out)..he cant use water based or anything thinner because it doesnt hold..his hair is always greasy and he has his very own pillowcase full of grease haha I love it though and wouldnt want it any other way.

I used to use Dax. It does get onto everything that you touch with your head, but does a good job.

As for washing it out, I was advised by a hairdresser to use washing up liquid, then shampoo. It seemed to do the job.

In California, you can buy it right from Hawleywood's (aka the makers) it still should be $15.

i used murray's and i used layrite and hairspray. murray's is my favorite for longer hair, i had to comb it less, and layrite worked for short hair and it was easier to wash out. lay rite did not work on wet hair! i learned that. and with murray's i would spray some hairspray for a stiffer hold . and then when i used just hairspray, i had to use alot, and it always made it clump instead of a smooth pomp. but i had to make sure to wash it or rub it out before i went to sleep or else it would hurt my scalp in the morning. and murray's would never come out! lol but i didn't want it out
fuck love give me fire

Depends what you are doing with yer hair. Putting it up?! Standing straight up, Id go with the got2b spiking glue for shorter hair, or the got2b freezing spray for longer hair.

if you are looking to slick it back... Murrays... but I don't really use that stuff often. I've had two cans for a few years... So I can't offer any kind of info on different strengths or whatnot. I don't have that brand of pomade.

I swear by that freezing spray for 'hawks or spikes. it only took my 15 minutes to put up my 2 foot mohawk with that crap and a hairdryer
I was talking more like a pomp though. I'm getting bored with my hair and I've been thinking about doing one for a while now but I have really thick hair, so I want to make sure whatever I use will actually keep it up all day.

my friend had the thickest hair i've ever seen in my life, it was also curly and murray's helped in keeping it up & together.
