100 Craft Challenge 2010 Edition

1. Made a wreath for our door today
2. Attempted to make cloth pantiliners, ended up with one successful one
3. Started a scrapbook
4. Worked on the scrapbook more, got a few pages done
5. Baked awesome English Muffin pizzas
6. Made a skull incense burner

7. Sewed up 2 more cloth menstrual pads (the first one took an hour bc I tried something new--whew!)
8. Made a placemat-type thing to set my DVD player on
9. Chocolate chip cookies!

Btw, this is a picture of #6..the incense goes in the top of the skulls..

materials:

ashtray
your average saucer/plate (got mine straight from the kitchen cabinet)
hot glue
skulls (these came from old halloween light decorations)
stick of incense (or something that you can poke appropriate incense stick-sized holes with)

how to!:

1. since the skulls i used were old halloween lights, they had holes at the tops. basically you hot-glue the holes closed, i did this slowly and actually burned myself trying to keep the hot glue in check. there is probably a better way to do this, actually. once the glue is dry (let it set for awhile), i poked holes in the top of them with incense sticks.

2. balance the skulls on top of the ashtray. hot glue them.

3. hot glue the ashtray to the saucer. my saucer just happened to have an awesome design on it, there is actually a frolicking reindeer in the middle of it if you look carefully, ha.

12. took an old book and revamped the whole outside of it .. i will post it in a new thread it looks pretty neat.
13. another batch of dyed yarn!
14. I made 6 prints today, all off the same matrix but in different styles and colors.
15.Cut a 9x12 lino block. spent 8 hours straight today working on it.
16. spent two hours adding layer after layer of paper/gel medium. then paint. almost done.
17.Made a bookmark
18. added 3 pages to my visual journal.
19. Redone Sketchbook for miss hell
20. another 9x12 Lino Grrrl print
21. cut open my chair and re stuffed it then patched it up.
22. made a set of 12 magnets

Weeeeell by the time I get all caught up on my schoolwork I'll be a month and a half behind, but I am so gonna try to do this this year! Assuming I don't forget about this board again. Been really bad for that lately.

5. I wanted some kind of nice looking cup to store my pencils, so I mod podged some fabric on an old glass
6-8: put some turquoise color on 4 wooden boxes and painted some stripes and leopard print on them. I'm going to count it as 3 because it took me 6 very long painting sessions until they were done.
9. finally finished the mens jacket I was working on
10. covered another box with fabric
11. sewed the sample for the womens jacket I'm plannig to make
12. memoboard/earring holder out of fabric and styrofoam
13. made new paper frames for my wall
14. another memoboard for patches and other stuff
